Klaviyo Integration - Overview & Limitations

Previously limited to Stoq, back-in-stock alerts can now be sent through Klaviyo, allowing merchants to use their own branded templates for notifications. This integration enhances your ability to maintain brand consistency and personalize communication with customers waiting for product restocks. Here's how to set it up and what to consider.

How to set it up


Navigate to 'Customize email' section in Stoq
Head to 'Back in stock alerts' from the left menu bar of Stoq.
Click on "Notifications' from the left bar and click on 'Customize email'.

Under 'Email provider', Choose 'Klaviyo'. You can now setup the integration to send back in stock alerts from Klaviyo.



Add API Keys: Login into your Klaviyo account, add in the public and private keys in the fields provided and click 'Save changes' to connect your account with Stoq. Create a Flow: Log into your Klaviyo account and navigate to the 'Flows' section to create a flow to trigger the back-in-stock alerts through Klaviyo. Here, you can also set up the email template that you would like to choose for your alerts using the variables provided here. Once you've completed the flow setup, click on "Verify flow" in Stoq to make sure it's setup correctly. For a more detailed guide on how to create a flow, click here.



Test your flow: Sign up to an out of stock product and restock the product in Shopify admin. Verify that you receive the back in stock alert through the Klaviyo setup.

Limitations


Reminder notifications cannot be used if the Klaviyo integration is set up.
Your ability to send back-in-stock notifications is subject to Klaviyo's sending limits and policies.
Only the variables provided by Stoq can be used in the email template. Custom Klaviyo variables may not be compatible.
The integration supports only one dedicated flow for back-in-stock alerts. Multiple flows for different product categories are not supported.
There might be a slight delay between a product coming back in stock and the notification being triggered in Klaviyo.
