Charges for SMS back in stock alerts

To send SMS back in stock alerts to your customers, Stoq may charge additional fees to process and send the text message to your customers. SMS notifications are charged on a per segment basis - that is, a fee applies to every 160 characters in the message. For example - if your SMS is 350 characters long, it is considered to be 3 segments long (350/160 = 2.18).

If your store sends 100 SMS notifications, each 1 segment long, in a particular month to customers in USA/CA, you will be charged $2 ($0.02 X 100) in addition to the $25 subscription charge. If no SMS’s are sent in a particular month, you will not be charged any additional fees.

SMS charges vary depending on the country your customers are located in.

What is DKIM?

DKIM, or DomainKeys Identified Mail, is an email authentication method that uses a digital signature to let the receiver of an email know that the message was sent and authorized by the owner of a domain.

Implementation

After verifying your email address, follow these steps to implement the DKIM records:

Head to 'Back in stock alerts' from the left bar of the App.
Then go to 'Notifications' section.
Scroll down to end and click "Customize email".
A banner 'DKIM Verification' will be visible on the page.

Click on 'Download Records' to download the DKIM records and follow the instructions below to set it up.

Stoq simplifies the process of showing or hiding the 'Notify Me' button on select products using tags. There are several reasons you might want to do this – perhaps a product is no longer restockable or you prefer not to collect registrations for specific items.

To enable this feature, follow these easy steps:

Navigate to Stoq, click on 'Back in stock alerts' from the left menu bar of the app.
Under Signup Widget, click on ‘Customize button’.
Under the button tab, click on 'Products'.
To show the Notify me button on specific products, choose "Show button on specific products"
Add the tag shown here - 'rocket-hide' - to the products you want to exclude from displaying the button. Read about how to do this in Shopify admin.
You can change this tag if you'd like. For example, if you already have a tag named "no-restock" on your products, add it in the Tags field shown here.
Finally, select what the app should do if it finds this tag on your product. Set it to 'Hide' if you want the app to hide the button for products with these tags or 'Show' for the reverse effect.
Ensure you click 'Save' after selecting your preferences to apply the changes.

How to enable Klaviyo sync

In the Stoq app, navigate to Back in stock Alerts.
Click on Settings, and then click on the Integrations option below Settings
There, you'll see the option to Sync customers to Klaviyo. Toggle this on to activate syncing.

To complete the sync setup, you'll need the private API key from your Klaviyo account. To grab the private key, please follow these steps here. While creating a Private API, please ensure the following: a) Opt for the 'Custom Key' option in the 'Select access level' section. b) In the 'API Scopes' section, ensure 'List', 'Profile', and 'Subscriptions' are chosen, granting them 'Full Access'.

We recommend saving the API key with 'Restock- private-key" so it is clear that this key is solely used by restock rocket and has limited access.

How much does Stoq cost?

The preorder limit resets on the first of every month.Stoq has multiple plans, each designed to be as affordable as possible through every stage of your Shopify journey. All plans have a notification limit & preorder limit, and you should select one based on how many notifications you expect to send per month.

What do you mean by notification limit? Notification limit means the number of back in stock alerts that can be sent for a billing cycle. For example: On the free plan, 30 notifications (Email) can be sent to customers and 10 preorders can be processed on the free plan. The notification limit resets on the first of every month.

Show 'Notify Me' button on Pre-order products

Stoq typically displays the 'Notify me when available' button only for products or variants that are currently out of stock. However, it's also possible to configure the button to appear on pre-order products in your store. This allows you to collect registrations from customers interested in those products, who will then receive notifications when the items are restocked.

To enable this setting, follow these steps in Shopify admin and then in Stoq's dashboard.

Enable the checkbox 'Continue selling when out of stock' in the "Inventory" section.
